Synopsis:
For You My People is an animated short film that tells the compelling story of a senator whose compassionate public persona must confront his secret deeds of corruption and dishonor. The film beautifully depicts one man's perception of distorted power through innovative animation techniques and fresh imagery.More than 2,000 photographs were taken and manipulated in the creation of the 4 minute and 35 second film. Director's Bio:
Jose Pablo Gonzalez is a filmmaker hailing from Puebla, Mexico, and a recent graduate of Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in the field of animation. Like contemporaries Chris Cunningham, Bruce Alcock and Tim Wolfe, Pablo enriches each piece with striking detail, provocative imagery, and a perfectly distorted reality to suit each universe he creates. While using unorthodox methods for creating ground-breaking visuals, he is constantly experimenting with new techniques that will allow each story to impact audiences in its own unique way. For You, My People is Pablo's directorial debut. |
