Synopsis:
THE TEMERITY OF ZIM is a light comedy, which centers around roguish Zim, who gets caught with another girl while house-sitting for his girlfriend's parents.When the girlfriend's father turns the business end of his rifle on Zim, we launch through a breakneck flashback of the myriad misadventures of Zim's short, happy life.We return to the present, armed with knowledge of Zim's uncanny ability to laugh in the face of danger and live. But the rifle-wielding Mr. Brown is his greatest challenge. Will he survive and if so, how?

Director's Bio:
Born and raised in Los Angeles, writer-director JOSHUA KOPPLE attended NYU and UC Berkeley where he studied Political Science. After working as an assistant in development at New Line Cinema and the William Morris Agency, Joshua decided he wanted to have a deeper impact not only on the stories being told but how they were told so he entered production.After assisting editorial on the animated feature SHARK BAIT (Freddie Prinze Jr., Evan Rachel Wood), Joshua opened Filter Films, a maverick behind-the-scenes production company, where he has directed BTS docs on films like Rob Schneider's BIG STAN, a trilogy of animated GARFIELD movies and most currently, THE LAST WORD starring Winona Ryder and Wes Bentley.During this time, Joshua also attended the UCLA Professional Program for Screenwriting where he sharpened his writing skills. He has completed feature screenplays and is currently working on a high concept action-adventure story.In early 2007, Joshua directed his first music video for the East Coast artist, Don Dilego, which won Best Music Video on Ourstage.com, beating out approximately 350 other music videos. Joshua is now focusing his energy on THE TEMERITY OF ZIM. With feature directing dead in his sights, Joshua understands that a hilarious, professional looking ZIM will only pave the way toward this goal if his cast and crew are the cream of the crop.
