Synopsis:
Wellness is an independent feature about a man trying to succeed in a business that doesn't exist.

Director's Bio:
Born and raised in Ohio, Mahaffy's experimental shorts and feature-length WAR have screened in festivals and competitions around the world. He studied filmmaking at RISD and the Russian State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, co-founded the 'Handcranked Film Projects' in Boston and is now developing a new filmmaking curriculum at Wheaton College, Massachusetts as an Associate Professor. For Free in Deed, a feature film in development about a man who tries to perform a miracle and fails, Mahaffy has received a Rockefeller Media Arts Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Creative Capital grant, and the Sundance Institute's inaugural Lynn Auerbach Screenwriting Fellowship, after developing the project at the 2006 Sundance Filmmaker's Labs.
