Synopsis:
The Legends of Artegio is the story of a generation of thieves who were widely successful in the 1960's in Mexico, and of the codes of conduct and ethics that characterized them. It is also the story of the Mexican criminal underworld: the numerous "categories" of delinquents who inhabited the city, their alliances with the police authorities that allowed them to continue their illegal activities, the betrayals that followed, and finally, the price they eventually had to pay.

Director's Bio:
Everardo Gonz‡lez Reyes (1971, M©xico D.F.) studied Social Communications at the Universidad Aut-noma Metropolitana, Photography at the Escuela Activa de Fotograf'a, and Film at the Centro de Capacitaci-n Cinematogr‡fica. He worked as director and photographer for the Mexican TV series M©xico Nuevo Siglo (Mexico New Millenium), produced by Enrique Krauze. In 2003 he made his documentary debut La canci-n del pulque, for which he received the prizes for Best Photography and Best Editing in the XVIII Muestra de Cine Mexicano in Guadalajara.
