Synopsis:
Andre Williams has written and recorded hit records and has worked with music industry legends, including Berry Gordy, Ike Turner and Stevie Wonder. Andre has also struggled throughout his life with addiction, poverty, homelessness and the legal system. Throughout his 72 years, Andre has never stopped driving his creative visions forward, regardless of cost or consequence. But during the course of a single year, these consequences turn out to be heartbreaking and severe as his addictive history catches up with him. The decisions he makes ultimately become a choice between life and death. Director's Bio:
Tricia Todd & Eric Matthies' 'Agile, Mobile, Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams' is their feature-length filmmaking debut. Their short nonfiction film, "Ayamye* (Goodness, Kindness, Generosity)", was nominated for the Social Justice Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2007 and is currently part of an ongoing, worldwide festival about sustainable transportation. In 2006, Todd and Matthies founded Project Lab, a production company that helps develop, produce and nurture documentary based content. Tricia Todd is a Texas native and received her degree in film and photography from San Francisco Art Institute. Eric Matthies graduated from the film program at Columbia College in Chicago. In addition to his work as co-director, Matthies is also the primary cinematographer and the producer. |
