Synopsis:
Glitch-hop artists Yea Big and Kid Static find themselves alone without the other's frenetic stimulation. So, they flow, through city of Chicago searching each other out. 'The Life Here' is revealed through Kid Static's high-energy performance and parkour stylings and beat-master Yea Big's witty street antics. Director's Bio:
After art school (SMFA) in Boston, MA, Zox worked compiling director's reels at RSA NY. Since then he has developed dance videos with Capacitor performance group and Raizel Performances in Chicago, IL. In 2006 his gender tearing short, Warrior, screened to an enthusiastic crowd at the Chicago International REEL Shorts Film Festival. Recently Zox has been working on his MFA from Northwestern University and a few music videos for glitch-hop artists Yea Big and Kid Static and indie band Le Concorde. His dance/music video hybrid, I Am Only Waiting, screened at the Provincetown International Film Festival, infusing a program of narrative films with a jolt of rock and modern-dance choreography. |
