Alto saxophonist and composer Pete Robbins has been performing major surgery on the NYC jazz scene since moving down from Boston in 2002. His third album, "Do The Hate Laugh Shimmy", will be released on Fresh Sound Records (Barcelona, Spain) on April 29. Robbins has been featured in the NY Times and the Village Voice, has received a major grant from the Doris Duke Foundation, and has been called "a real force" by jazz piano pioneer Paul Bley.
