Since meeting around a Freshman year coffee table in Boston in 2004 The Young Republic have come a long way.

The Young Republic walk the line between country soaked power pop and classical soaring strings. They layer their sounds, instruments and melodies to make harmony led songs of beauty.

2007 saw the release of a series of limited edition 7" singles in the UK, on End of the Road Records, with Rough Trade record shops naming all three as records of the week.

On the strength of the singles, The Young Republic were invited to play the legendary Glastonbury Festival in the UK in June 2007, and in September the band returned for the End of the Road festival and supporting My Brightest Diamond on her UK tour.

The debut album '12 Tales from Winter City' was released in the UK on 21st January 2008 and the band are currently busy building their studio in Nashville, TN to begin recording their next album.
