The Blood Lines began creating music in 2006 when siblings S.J. & Maygen Kardash teamed up with brothers, Paul and Barrett Ross. The band released their self-titled debut in
June 2006, which received accolades from the industry, being named "Disc-overy of the week" with four stars by Eye Toronto and went on to win "Outstanding Rock Recording" at
the 2007 Western Canadian Music Awards. The Blood Lines have been compared to such sounds as My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins and XTC. Some highlights for the band from the past year include being invited on the road with The Dears, playing North By Northeast in Toronto, CMJ in New York City and touring China where The Blood Lines played The Beijing Pop Festival with acts like Nine Inch Nails and Public Enemy. Expect a new release in 2008.
