After four years of promoting upcoming bands on the Austin Music Network/Cable Channel-15 in the Live Music Capitol of the World, three VJ’s and one Editor were forced to find another creative outlet when the city pulled the plug on the station. Naturally, they gravitated towards what they knew best: MUSIC. Only this time, they reached for the instruments themselves.

The War Against Sleep speak through their music with a tone of genuine originality. Drawing from influences such as LCD Soundsystem and Think About Life, this sometimes-octet takes you on a "trip" from the moody and mysterious side of human nature to the hopeful and uplifting side of human idealism.

By having every member play every instrument, they are able to trade off and add multiple dimensions to their style. Their stage show constistently brings out energetic fans interested in not only hearing great music, but also having a great time.
