The Chevelles are a seminal Power Pop band from Perth, Western Australia. They formed in 1989 and have over 20 releases including 5 full length albums. They have played over 1000 shows in their lifetime as a band and have toured Australia, Europe the USA and Brazil numerous times. They have just signed to Little Stevie's Wicked Cool Records and an Anthology and new album "Accelerator" will be released in early 2008. They are at the front line of the powerpop surf/garage movement and sound like a Tsunami containing the souls of the Beach Boys, Kiss and the Ramones. They will be on their 2008 West Aussie Power Pop Assault World Tour in Feb-March and will be in the US during the SXSW Festival period.
