  Secret Shine - Lost Memory

Secret Shine formed in 1991, founded by Jamie Gingell and Scott Purnell in a loft flat in Bournemouth, UK. Soon after recording their first demo they were snapped up by the cult Bristol record label 'Sarah Records' and went on to release an album and many singles and EPS throughout the early to mid-nineties before disbanding in late 96. After a 9-year hiatus Secret Shine got back together again in 2004 after the successful release of a re-issue album on the US label Clairecords. Trauma followed with the sudden death of drummer Tim Morris in 2005 but the band vowed to continue as a mark of respect and to continue the re-union that Tim had actually instigated. 2006 saw the release of two new and very well received EPs, an interview in New York's Big Takeover and a short tour of the East Coast USA in October 2006.
The band are currrently recording an album which will be released on Clairecords in March 2008. The Secret Shine sound can be described as power indie pop, mixed with a healthy dose of shoe-gazing, gentle boy-girl vocals and layered guitars.
