With a backbone of southern-fried soul and a young female vocalist who has a place waiting amid the legendary lights of Mavis Staple and Ms Franklin herself, Phantom Limb play country-gospel. Pitching them in any one genre is a tall order, but they undoubtedly belong in the Deep South.

A brand new unsigned band, they originally formed in 2005, but progress was halted before they even had chance to get started due to an unfortunate illness. However recently they have reformed, and in doing so sold out the infamous St George's Concert Hall in their home town of Bristol, England, by word of mouth alone. It sounds like everything you've always loved but nothing you've ever heard before.
