The Big Bang formed in 2004 and hail from Birmingham, England. With a 3-piece line up of two guitars & drums, aand everyone sharing vocals, they eschew the standard power trio line-up and create a huge enough sound without a bass guitar.

They jive to Little Richard, drink to Johnny Cash and worship at the altar of early Black Sabbath. Once described as "a big, bad whirlwind of rock and roll" The Big Bang have established themselves as one of the most exciting, visceral and enigmatic bands the U.K has to offer. They create Rock and roll from the old school that exudes both clatter and class.

Having played shows with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Modey Lemon, Editors, Demons Claws, The Immortal Lee County Killers and The Datsuns to name but a few. The Big Bang also have a residency at the legendary ColdRice club. They have played the length and breadth of England and a storming show at Pianos, Lower East Side, New York.

One fan of the band includes legendary White Stripes/Billy Childish producer Liam Watson of Toerag studios. He produced two of the ten tracks on their debut album. The other eight were recorded in the Coldrice HQ in Birmingham, for a total cost of two cheeseburgers.

July 2007 saw the release of their debut album "Shoot the Freak" on ColdRice Records to prove to any non believers the potency of their sound. This summer saw an onslaught of raucous gigs around the UK. They have also gained exposure with their music used to soundtrack the latest series of MTV’s ‘Dirty Sanchez’ show.

The band are currently working on tracks for the follow up album, provisionally titled 'We Can Do What the F**K We Want, cos We're the Devil's Party Band'.
