Dokkebi Q is an electro-punk/future-dubstep group formed in the end of 2006 by visual/vocal artist Kiki Hitomi and electronic musician Gorgonn. They started making music together in the east London area (Dalston) under the realization and understanding of "black rebel music".
Gorgonn's violent effects-soaked DSP tinkering and solid dub mechanics create the perfect midnight playground setting for Kiki's bewitching dreamworld vocals to float about, seducing listeners into their scary dance haunting. Roots stretch to Japan, Korea, Ainu tribe (north part of Japan), and their current home in London where they perform regularly. They also fly to Japan to perform where they're welcomed as a special new act in Japan's dubstep scene. Kiki Hitomi: "Dokkebi" is a kind of ghost or monster in Korea which can transform into fire when it travels. They are the judgment of nature. Dokkebi Q brings the illumination of the monster street style pop songs to the mankinds in the first time of the universe. Fire!!!! |
