The latest band of international scale to emerge from the lauded Bergen scene,the Norwegian band Syme creates alternative pop music at the meeting point between melody and noise.Cacophonous guitar sounds, ethereal synths and a hypnotic groove prevail throughout their sound, which is always welded to a well-tuned pop melody. If bands like Sigur Ros, Postal Service, Radiohead or Mogwai have pride of place in your music collection then Syme should without a doubt be your next new favorite band.

Founded in 2002, and with two critically acclaimed releases behind them - 2005's Swing Swing and their extended remix EP Modern Love from 2006 - SYME have now turned their attentions to North America in search of the audience their ambitious musical landscape deserves.
