Buttercup is an indie pop rock band of 4 songwriters that churn out songs at a frantic pace. By December the band will have released 3 EPs in a 6 month period, and will soon follow with a full length in the spring of 2008. They all sing harmonies, and are willing to stretch the conventional notions of live rock performances, frequently leaving the stage to serenade audience members or inviting them aboard a parade float driving around town. Drawing on influences such as Neil Young, The Kinks, and the Talking Heads, Buttercup aims to write smart, witty, moving songs.
