Few rappers have the charisma and stage presence of Pigeon John, "the Fresh Prince of LA" (as said in the LA Weekly). The wizard of wit’s latest album, Pigeon John...And the Summertime Pool Party (Quannum Projects), features thrillers such as “Freaks! Freaks!" "Weight of the World" and “Money Back Guarantee.” Pigeon John hails from sunny Southern California...Inglewood, to be exact. Like many West Coast MCs, he got inspired to freestyle in the early '90s at the legendary Good Life Café open-mic nights, spitting rhymes on the same stage with then-fledgling artists like Freestyle Fellowship, Kurupt, The Pharcyde, Busdriver, and Jurassic 5. These days Pigeon is a touring maniac, spending the bulk of his time on the road, performing alongside the likes of Peeping Tom, Matisyahu, MF Doom and Of Montreal. He can also be seen hosting programs on Current TV, FUEL TV ("The Daily Habit") and Havoc TV (Havoc On The 101).
