The End of the World is pretty much just two buds from Brooklyn -- Stefan Marolachakis and Ben Smith -- who have been making music together since 2003. They've had more bass players than anybody would care to count and their fair share of drummers as well. They've made peace with the ghosts of their past members and have now moved on as just two buds and are cranking away at a new album for Flameshovel where the two of them play pretty much everything. It should come out this Spring and slay. For now, though, come here the rapturous, hypnotic, semi-controlled racket of The End of the World, which if pushed, I might describe as Crazy Horse in a fight with Rod Stew-trux. Ya gotta see it to believe it.
