The Hood Internet is ABX (Aaron Brink) and STV SLV (Steve Reidell). Both members of the Chicago art-pop band May Or May Not (www.mayormaynot.org), the two created a blog in March 2007 to post their bizarre brand of mashups -- boasting such unlikely pairings as R. Kelly and Broken Social Scene or T.I. and Fujiya & Miyagi.

In less than a year of existence, the duo has dropped over 100 tracks, a ten-song mixtape with Bay Area rappers The Pack, an "official" remix for Portland band Blitzen Trapper, and two full-length mixtapes -- all of these things combined racking up over a million downloads for the Hood (who subsequently declared themselves "internet platinum").
