ouvellas is a new soul group consisting entirely of former Dansettes members. Jaime Kozyra is back with Leah Fishman to share some exciting dual vocals while Andy, Dennis, and Justin are backing the ladies up with a stripped down three piece formation.

Following the break-up of The Dansettes, a soul girl group who had been showcase artists at SXSW in 2006 and 2007, five of the seven members immediately formed Nouvellas with the goal of creating a more stripped-down soul inspired project. The group played their first show in September of 2007 and will be recording a full-length album in November.

Jaime and Leah can be heard singing background vocals on the new Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings album (100 Days, 100 Nights) and have performed with artists such as The Dirtbombs, Electric Six, Willowz and White Rabbits.
