Buckshot Bio:

Buckshot is the legendary MC from Black Moon and the mighty Boot Camp Clik. He is also the co-owner of Duck Down Records, a 13 year-old Independent Hip Hop Label based out of Brooklyn, New York and home to: Sean Price, Kidz In the Hall, Smif N Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, Special Teamz, Ruste Juxx, KRS ONE, DJ Revolution and Boot Camp Clik.

Buckshot is most know for his Black Moon “Enta Da Stage” album (1993) featuring the classic singles: “Who Got the Props,” “I Gotcha Opin,” “How Many Emcees,” and “Buck Em Down.”

In 2005 Buckshot teamed up with Super Producer 9th Wonder (production for Jay Z, Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, Little Brother) to release “Chemistry,” as part of Duck Down Record’s Triple Threat Campaign, which also featured albums from Sean Price “Monkey Barz,” and Smif N Wessun, “Reloaded.”

Since then Buckshot has remained active in the Hip Hop landscape. He’s heavily featured in Boot Camp Clik’s latest album, “Casualties of War” (August, 2007) and landed two highly publicized music collaborations creating original music for ESPN’s coverage of Men’s College Basketball and the title track to the History Channel’s, “Gangland” Series. Buckshot will also be featured on Lil Wayne’s upcoming MixTape on a remake of “Who Got the Props.”

On April 15th, 2008, Buckshot is teaming up with 9th Wonder once again to release “The Formula,” featuring Talib Kweli, Jazzy Jeff, Ladybug of Digable Planets, Raheem Devaughn and Tyler Woods.

Buckshot will be coming to a town near you during Duck Down Record’s USA label tour this summer, touching down in over 35 major cities
