DJ Dave P's resume includes an event called Making Time and is one of America’s most acclaimed and longest running (7+ years) indie dance parties. Established in May of 2000 by event producer, DJ and remixer Dave P, Making Time, one of Rolling Stone's top 10 parties of 2003, is a monthly indie dance party in Philadelphia that takes place at three of Philadelphia's largest nightclubs, Transit, Club Pure and Shampoo, all of which house 3+ floors and capacities of over 1500 people. The event hosts seven resident DJ's and consistently welcomes several guest DJ's from all over the world.
Dave P’s first mix cd was released on NYC’s Defend Music label. The 18 track Go Commando Mix cd was released on March 21st, 2007. This was not the first time Dave P was featured in your local record stores. Dave P's remix of Bloc Party's "This Modern Love" is featured on the Bloc Party remix LP and has received press from Pitchfork and various other international publications as the best remix on the record. Dave P. has also produced remixes for such bands as Death from Above 1979, The Futureheads, The Faint and 120 Days. His remix of Of Montreal’s “Raputre Rapes the Muses” was released on the Of Montreal remix record in the fall of 2006 and Dave P’s remix of The Klaxons’ “Atlantis to Interzone” was just recently released on the French label Kitsune in Europe. |
