The SXSW® Music and Media Conference showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over eighty stages in downtown Austin. By day, conference registrants do business in the SXSW® Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center and partake of a full agenda of informative, provocative panel discussions featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature.
Jersey City's WFMU has built a strong reputation as the longest running free-form radio station in the United States and has often been called, "the best station in the country." So it comes as no surprise that these free-thinking music lovers would put together a lively showcase dead-set on throwing you around and shaking your brain with a heavy dose of "heavy, damaged, darkly, punk, weird, noisy, poppy, trippy sounds." I mean, these guys are closing the night out with a crazy Cambodia
SXSW always features a wide representation of businesses seeking to capitalize on the dynamic atmosphere. This year will feature two interesting companies with new and innovative iPhone applications.
