Nine Days of SXSW Panels Programming
Throughout the nine days of overlapping conferences, professionals in a vast array of creative industries gather to meet, learn, discuss, network, and share tips with each other about how to thrive within a fickle trade.
SXSW Film Panels
Conference panels can be as intimate as a one-on-one meeting with a film professional in the Mentor program, or jam-packed with registrants wanting the lastest tips and dish from the indie name du jour in one of the popular Interview sessions. In addition, there is a
free panel session at the Carver Center covering some of the basics of filmmaking.
SXSW Interactive Festival Panels
The ever-expanding Interactive Festival panels run from the basics of how to best work SXSW to Keynotes from industry leaders and sessions like Africa 2.0: Affecting Change Using Technology and The Art of Self-Branding.
Many of the Interactive Festival sessions will be podcast during or after SXSW 2008.
SXSW Music Panels
Get ready for a jam-packed four days of SXSW Music Panels. Wednesday
starts off the Music Conference with the interesting and informative Crash Courses. Thursday morning kicks off with the SXSW 2008 Keynote Lou Reed. The Mentor Sessions and the NEW Quickies Sessions span all four days of the conference. On Friday and Saturday, the CLE program offers up to eight
hours of continuing legal education at no extra cost. Many other panels covering a huge gamut of topics, as well as the Demo Listening Sessions and interviews with
other notables, will be of interest to anyone trying to move ahead in the industry or learn something new about the music biz.
